England

Croughton, England 2010

While in Germany, I was already planning my next placement with Camp Adventure. I returned to my final undergrad semester in the Fall of 2009 with plans to complete an internship in England for four months. This time I would be placed on the US Air Force Base located in Croughton, England. This super tiny base is located about an hour outside of London.

My duties this time would be for a Child Daycare Center (CDC). I worked with every age group, starting in the infant room. With the hiring of new staff I was moved around to help fill other voids created by vacations. I spent a majority of my time with the pre-toddlers (1-2 years old) and the pre-schoolers (3-5 years old).

I was placed at the site with one other Camp Adventure intern, Dominique, and luckily we hit it off since we had no choice but to travel together. The two of us traveled all over England, Scotland, and Wales. We even made a trip over to mainland Europe and spent a wonderful spring weekend in Paris. Below are some pictures that highlight my time.

On Base

January: The snow was gone by the end of the day.

April: View from the dorms, on and off base.

Scotland
I would love to caravan around the Highlands!
Loch Ness (No I didn't see Nessie)

Wouldn't be Scotland without a kilt
and some bagpipes.
Hogwarts inspiration!!!
